Abstract This collection contains images produced or collected by the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) from ca. 1934-1997. The images document the research, activities, and history of the organization. The majority of images in the collection are from the Engineering Experiment Station (EES) historical display at the fiftieth anniversary celebration or are images used in EES/GTRI publications.

Overview Virginia Tucker (1910-1985) was a native North Carolinian and one of the first women to work for NACA (now NASA) in Langeley, Virginia beginning in 1935. She later moved on to work for the Northrop Corporation in Southern California as an aerospace engineer during the 1950s and 1960s.
