Department of Mathematics Report
On December 31, 1933, a meeting took place between Charles M. Snelling, chancellor of the University System, and college department heads from Georgia. During this meeting, the group discussed a possible statewide course coordination. This collection contains a report from Georgia Tech's mathematics department to Chancellor Snelling.
George C. Griffin Collection on D. M. Smith
Correspondence concerning the retirement of D. M. (David Melville) Smith, Professor of Mathematics at Georgia Tech from 1913 to 1954. Smith succeeded Floyd Field as head of the Department of Mathematics in 1936 and served in that capacity until 1951. The contents of this collection were removed from a scrapbook containing tributes to Smith compiled by George C. Griffin.
