Correspondence, 1951-1956
Description
The J. Wayne Moore papers include correspondence, printed material, and newsclippings. Correspondence documenting the planning of the fiftieth reunion of the Class of 1901 constitutes the majority of the papers. Moore corresponded individually with each member of the class, although only those who were still alive in 1951 are represented here. The correspondents are: Julien P. Benjamin, D. O. Dougherty, W. D. Ferris, Strother C. Fleming, Wayne Holman, George J. Merritt, Willard Newsom, James F. Towers, Eugene C. Wachendorff, J. S. Waterman, James H. Williams, and W. A. Young.
The printed materials include a 1901 Commencement Program, a 1909 Yellow Jacket, and a 1952 Orange Bowl program. The 1951 newsclipping from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution includes a photograph of the Insubordinate Seniors.
Also included in these papers are three certificates, certifying J. Wayne Moore, Jr. as a professional engineer in the states of Georgia and Florida, and as a land surveyor in Georgia.
