Statements re: Office of Technology Assessment before Subcommittee on Science, Research and Technology, March 1978

The first subseries of SERIES 1 provides an historical background to the OTA through newspaper clippings and articles, through texts of the congressional act and other congressional statements about the Office, and through pamphlets and booklets published by the Office. Particularly interesting is the draft copy of An OTA Handbook, a document written by Vary T. Coates to provide orientation to OTA practices and procedures for employees.
