Technology As Social Organization, January 1981
Scope and Content
The main activity of the Office of Technology Assessment, which was to provide Congress with information and research on a variety of technological and scientific issues, is reflected in its numerous publications. Most of the results of the research on each topic were published in full-length books, in shorter background papers, and in pamphlet-sized summaries. Series 1, Subseries 2 consists of a group of drafts submitted to OTA by scientific companies and consultants, who were hired as contractors to carry out some of the research for these publications.
