The newspaper and magazine clippings in this subseries document special events such as awards, job changes, graduations, births, marriages, and deaths, mainly in the Van Leer family. Those dating from prior to 1924 cover Ella Wall's life as a teacher and as a nurse in World War I; those after that date document the careers of Ella and Blake Ragsdale Van Leer as well as those of their children and grandchildren. Highlights include articles covering daughter Maryly's wedding, her husband and family, and her career as an engineer and college administrator. Events from son Blake Wayne's life and career in the Navy, as well as events in son Samuel Wall's teaching career, are also covered.
