Blake Ragsdale Van Leer’s maternal grandmother, Mary Jane Ragsdale (1842-1915), was descended from Godfrey Ragsdale, who came to the United States before 1642 and settled in Virginia. Correspondence, research notes, and Ella Wall Van Leer’s 1975 publication, The Ragsdale Family in England and America, are included in these files.
