Scope and Contents
Series 1. Environment and Social Justice, 1987-2001 contains booklets and flyers of HC3, Eco-Action, and Center for Community Development (CCD), NGOs located in counties around Atlanta. It also includes other NGOs’ reports (Leadership Conference on Civil Rights, Minority Rights Group International, Nkuzi Development Association, The Comparative Human Relations Initiative, United National Development Program, Woolfolk Citizens Response Group) about racial discrimination, environmental health, civil rights, and human development. Also, the series contains news about Hancock county, especially about the establishment of a landfill in the county. Notes of interviews carried out with the leaders of CCD and Eco-action and two micro cassettes are also included.
