These records, mainly news clippings and magazine articles, are primarily composed of general and historical information on the Fulton Bag and Cotton Mills and on the textile industry as a whole, in Georgia and the rest of the Southern United States. Further subjects include biographical information on the Elsas family, the managers of the Fulton Bag and Cotton Mills, as well as information on the Cabbagetown settlement around the mill. Some notes on Fulton Bag and Cotton Mills materials in other repositories is also included.
Materials on the history and background of the Fulton Bag and Cotton Mills were apparently obtained by the Georgia Tech Archives staff after the 1985 acquisition of the Fulton Bag and Cotton Mills papers. Most of the materials were gathered during the late 1980s and early 1990s.
For a fuller history of the Fulton Bag and Cotton Mills, see the finding aid for the Fulton Bag and Cotton Mills Records (MS004).
The materials are arranged into seven folders, by subject.
