Snow precipitation at the Georgia Tech campus is a relatively rare event, located as it is in the state of Georgia. Nevertheless, light snow fall and even occasional snowstorms have occurred from time to time in the institution's history. In the recent past, one storm during the 1980s closed the campus closed for five days; another occurred during 1993; and most recently, a storm occurred in January 2011 that delayed the beginning of spring semester for two days.
A print copy of this finding aid is available in the Georgia Tech Archives reading room.
