Extrapolation is a academic based publication dealing with more academic analysis of science fiction material. It was initially published by first College of Wooster, Ohio, then in 1979 it switched to the Kent State University Press, Ohio, and is now currently being published by the Liverpool University Press. The initial editor Thomas D Clareson, who operated alone until 1987, and was the main driving force for the publication. Despite his death in 1993, the magazine persists on to this day.
