Fantastic Universe was a science fiction periodical that ran from 1953 to 1960, first under King-Size Pubs. and later under Great American Publications, Inc. During the time of its publication, Fantastic Universe had a fairly high level of quaility and was regarded positively. The publication ran for seven years and the final issue was published in March of 1960. The History of the Science-fiction Magazine Series by Michael Ashley and the Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Weird Fiction Magazine Index: 1890-2006+ by Stephen T. Miller and William G. Contento was used to gather historical information about this publication.
