Biographical / Historical

Begun in 1978, the Rhysling Awards were created by the Science Fiction Poetry Association (SFPA) to highlight the best poetry produced in the prior year. The award had two categories, long and short poetry. The members of the association would vote for each category, and then all of the nominees would be placed in an anthology, called The ... Rhysling Antology, with the ... representing whichever year the poetry was from. As of the publication of this resource, the The ... Rhysling Antology is still in publication. The History of the Science-fiction Magazine Series by Michael Ashley and the Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Weird Fiction Magazine Index: 1890-2006+ by Stephen T. Miller and William G. Contento was used to gather historical information about this publication.
