This visual collection contains the architectural drawings, blueprints, maps, and images from the office of Jack Pyburn, Architect, Inc.
Jack Pyburn, FAIA is an Atlanta based architect and recipient of numerous awards and accolades based on his work as an architect and his participation in the historic preservation community. He played football as a way to finance his college education and was recruited by the Miami Dolphins for its second season. Mr. Pyburn worked for EDAW and Team4 before he opened his own firm in 1984 which he ran for over 20 years. He has been with the firm Lord, Aech and Sargant since 2007.
The donated materials contain the contents of the Office of Jack Pyburn, Architect, Inc, a historic preservation architect practicing in Gainesville, Georgia and subsequently in Atlanta, Georgia. OJP, Architect, Inc was a "C" corporation registered in the State of Georgia during its years of operation. The donor, Jack Pyburn, was the sole owner and president of the corporation during its years of operation.
The collection is arranged into two series, Series I: Architectural drawings, and Series II: Photos, Negatives, Slides, etc. Series II also includes floppy disks and CDs containing photos.
This collection is located at an offsite location and requires additional time to locate and transfer to the Archives Reading Room.
