Georgia Tech serves as the institutional sponsor for the publication and several issues contain features from Georgia Tech faculty.

Configurations is a quarterly journal of Literature, Science, and Technology published by Johns Hopkins University Press. The journal is the official publication of the Society for Literature, Science, and the Arts (SLSA), formerly the Society for Literature and Science. The SLSA is composed of scholars and artists in science, engineering, computer science, humanities, and the arts. Founded in 1993 and still in print today, Configurations focuses on the intersection of literature and arts with science and technology, with an interest in representational and cultural aspects of the sciences. With Georgia Tech as its institutional sponsor, Configurations include several Georgia Tech faculty contributors.
