Forgotten Fantasy was a fantasy and science fiction magazine, published bimonthly between October 1970 and June 1971. Based in Hollywood, California and distributed by Nectar Press, the magazine aimed to reprint lesser known classics in speculative fiction from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Forgotten Fantasy is thought to be the precursor to Newcastle Forgotten Fantasy Library, which continued the original publication’s goals of republishing and reviving forgotten literature, and consisted of many of its original members, including editor Douglas Menville and associate editor Robert Reginald. Notable names that were republished in Forgotten Fantasy include Voltaire, H.G. Wells, William Morris, and Goethe.
