This collection consists of an itinerary for the freshman football Georgia Tech-Florida game from 1924; a recruitment letter for the freshman football team, a schedule for varsity and freshman football from the same year, and a letter from Douglas Wycoff encouraging participation, all dating from 1925; and two letters from 1927, one from Ed Crowley and one from W. A. Alexander, to the candidates for the varsity football team.
Henry Walter Crowe, Jr. attended Georgia Tech between 1924 and about 1927. He is listed in the 1925 Blue Print, the college yearbook, as a member of the freshman class and as a member of the freshman football team for the 1924 season. In the following yearbook, his name appears in the list of sophomore students, but he is not listed as a member of the football team. In 1927, he is again listed as a member of the sophomore class. No mention of Crowe's name occurs in subsequent volumes of the yearbook.
A print copy of this finding aid is available in the Georgia Tech Archives reading room.
