This publication served primarily as the course catalog for Georgia Tech graduate students from 1945 to 1973, and it provided other information of relevance to this part of the Georgia Tech student population. Before 1945 and after 1973, information for graduate students is included in the Announcements/General Catalog for Georgia Tech (see the finding aid for the Announcements/General Catalog).

Course offerings in the Division of Graduate Studies begin to be described in the Announcements/General Catalog in the early 1940s. Separate publications for graduate students, which came to be known as the Graduate Catalog and Announcements, were released from 1945 to 1973.
The earliest volumes of the Bulletin for the Division for Graduate Studies are the briefest, reflecting the small number of graduate programs available during the mid to late 1940s. Content consisted of an academic calendar; lists of Board of Regents personnel and graduate faculty at Georgia Tech; general information of relevance to graduate students, including a brief history of graduate study at Tech, admission information, expenses, and financial aid; courses of instruction; and course descriptions under each subject area. After the first issue, a brief descriptive paragraph on the Georgia Tech Research Institute and Engineering Experiment Station is also included. The volumes of the later 1940s and 1950s incorporate information for veterans into the general information section. The general information section also expands to include requirements for the doctoral degree, which was offered in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry by 1949, and in additional fields during the 1950s.
Volumes of the later 1950s and 1960s follow a similar format to the earlier volumes, but the expansion of the course description section reflects the expansion of offerings in graduate study at Georgia Tech. By the late 1960s, graduate faculty and descriptions of graduate degrees are provided for each school or discipline, followed by course descriptions for each school or discipline. In the general information section, information for international students and descriptions of interdisciplinary programs are added, as well as a section on the Graduate Student Senate.
The final issue of the Graduate Catalog and Announcements came out in May 1972. It covered the 1972-1973 academic year. Beginning in 1973, both graduate and undergraduate studies are covered in the Announcements/General Catalog publication (see the finding aid for this publication for a description of its content).
The Georgia Tech Archives holds two print copies of each issue.
This publication served primarily as the course catalog and source of information for Georgia Tech graduate students from 1945 to 1973. In the years prior to 1945, information for graduate students was incorporated into the Announcements/General Catalog published by the Institute. After 1973, general information, courses of instruction, and curricula for graduate students was again incorporated into the Institute's General Catalog. Each Graduate Catalog appeared as an issue of the Bulletin of the Georgia Institute of Technology. Normally the volume appeared annually, but the volume for 1960-1962 covered two academic years.
Like the Announcements/General Catalog at Georgia Tech, the title of the Graduate Catalog frequently changed. The first three issues were published as the Bulletin - Georgia School of Technology: Division of Graduate Studies. When Georgia Tech changed its name to the Georgia Institute of Technology, the title became the Bulletin - Georgia Institute of Technology: Division of Graduate Studies. The 1948 issue was published under that title, along with the subtitle Announcements 1948-1949. In 1949, the title changed again, to Bulletin - Georgia Institute of Technology: Graduate Division, with the subtitle Announcements 1949-1950. This title remained stable through the 1950s until 1959, when the title changed again, to Graduate Division Catalogue and Announcements. From 1962 to 1971-1972, the volume was published under the title Graduate Catalogue and Announcements. The final issue's title was the 1972-73 Graduate Catalog and Announcements.
The first few volumes of this publication contain only about 60 pages, but as the graduate course offerings and degrees at Georgia Tech increased, the volumes become larger. The issues of the late 1960s and early 1970s contain more than 150 pages each.
This publication is bound into a set of chronological volumes, each of which contain at least two to three issues. The binding was probably done by the Georgia Tech Library.
