This collection contains numerous campus master plans and notes. Sasaki Associates completed materials dating from the early 1990s, while materials from the late 1990s are the official issuance of the Georgia Tech Campus Master Planning Committee.
Georgia Tech hired Sasaki Associates, a master planning firm, in 1991 to develop a master plan for the institution. The Georgia Tech Facilities Office established a Campus Master Planning Committee, seeking public input to the facility development plan for the year 2010 and coordination with the 1996 Olympic planners. The committee, composed of representatives from the administration, faculty, staff, students, and alumni, was responsible for reviewing the work of the planning consultant team, which was led by Wallace Roberts and Todd, a national firm that specializes in master planning for academic institutions.
