The Koseme Society records include constitution, by-laws, initiation policies, and membership lists. Because the constitution and by-laws are not dated, it is unclear when these were passed or amended. The membership lists are handwritten in a bound notebook. Each member signed his or her name along with the date s/he joined the society.
The Koseme Society, a campus honor society, was founded in 1912 for the purpose of recognizing leadership qualities in students. The organization undertakes service projects for the Tech community. Membership is limited to twenty students and only juniors may be nominated. Once a student reaches senior standing, s/he can no longer be involved with the group.
A print copy of this finding aid is available in the Georgia Tech Archives reading room.
James Dull, former Vice President for Student Affairs and faculty advisor for Koseme, donated these records in October 1985 (Accession #1985.1014; old number: 85-10-14).
