Because Emory Rumble was involved with many campus organizations as a student, he had the opportunity to collect event programs, accumulating programs from the Marionettes, Georgia Tech Glee Club, and football programs. The 1929 Commencement program is bound in a leather cover, although this is not Rumble's graduating class. The newspaper clippings pertain to the Georgia Tech football team.
Hailing from Macon, Georgia, Emory Brown Rumble graduated from Georgia Tech in 1926 with a B. S. in Mechanical Engineering. His extracurricular activities included participating in the Y. M. C. A., WGST Radio Station, and the Marionettes, a student theater group. He also was a cheerleader for athletic events.
A print copy of this finding aid is available in the Georgia Tech Archives reading room.
Emory Rumble donated these papers in August 1984 (Accession #1990.0508; old number: 90-05-08).
