Abstract
Dorothy Murray Crosland served as librarian of Georgia Tech from 1927 until 1953, when she assumed the title of director of libraries, the position she held until her retirement in 1971. Her principal achievements during her long tenure were the construction of the Price Gilbert Memorial Library and Crosland Tower (previously Graduate Addition). She also played an instrumental role in the admission of women to Georgia Tech and in the development of a graduate program in information science....
