Most of the items in the collection have been tested to determine whether they function. If testing revealed the need for repairs or acquisition of missing equipment, this has generally been noted at the item level under the Conditions Governing Use note. Some material is housed in the retroTECH Lab, but much of it is in storage. Please contact the Georgia Tech Archives if you are interested in using materials from this collection in the retroTECH Lab. We will contact you about scheduling a visit.

This collection of consoles, games, accessories, documentation, and televisions was assembled by the Georgia Tech Digital Media program (part of the School of Literature, Media, and Communication) to support the study of video games.
The collection is described in five main series, each corresponding to a manufacturer or a cluster of functionally related material.
In 2019, the collection was donated to the Georgia Tech Archives by professors in the Digital Media program.
