John Dunn MacDonald is a celebrated American thriller and crime novelist. In 1965, the Moffats, June and Len, set about compiling his work along with notes and other information into a series of bookes, which were titled The JDM Bibliophiles. Between the starting year of 1965 and 2004, 64 books were published. The Moffats promised two books a year, a promise they often fell short of. After the first 22 series, the Moffats passed their title of editor to Ed Hirshberg, who was an English professor at the University of South Florda. He completed the series up until shortly before his death. Many copies of the series are difficult to find.
