Campus Directories (Georgia Institute of Technology)

This collection consists of faculty and/or student directories published by the Georgia Institute of Technology. The first series is made up of a few faculty directories that were produced during the period prior to 1946, when the school was known as the Georgia School of Technology. The directories in this series usually include the home addresses and telephone numbers of all faculty and staff. The last directory in this series is a campus telephone directory for the fall quarter of 1946. Series 2 contains the directories of faculty, staff, and students that were published annually, usually each fall. These directories typically contain campus contact information for faculty, staff, and students, and many also contain home addresses and phone numbers. Multiple copies of several years are available. Series 3 consists of a single photographic directory of faculty, published in 1988. No contact information is included. Series 4 contains college, school, and departmental directories. The College of Engineering directories in Subseries 1 of this series include organizational charts and photos of each faculty member along with his/her specialties. No addresses or phone numbers are usually included. Similarly, the General College directories in Subseries 2 of this series, and the Industrial Management directory in Subseries 3, include organizational charts and photos of each faculty member along with his/her specialties. The last volume in Subseries 2 includes all faculty. The Series 5 directories parallel those in Series 4: They contain organizational charts and photos of both professional and administrative staff, listed according to division. The earliest volume includes the Rich Electronic Computer Center, which was originally part of the Engineering Experiment Station.
