This series contains images of a country club and golf course identified as Lakemont Country Club. "Lakemont Country Club Atlanta" is written on the back of one of these photos, however, there is no evidence of a Lakemont Country Club in Atlanta during this time period. It may be that these images are actually of a country club at Lakemont, Georgia, in Rabun County near Tallulah Falls, or possibly Atlanta's East Lake Golf Club.

Based on research, including the fact that the Sumner ran aground in 1916 and was declared a loss, these images probably date between 1911-1916, most likely 1913-1914. It is likely that the location in the photos is the port of Galveston, Texas. The Mexican Revolution was happening at this time and the US sent troops to Mexico and to the Texas-Mexico...
