Cinefantastique was a popular fantasy, horror, and science fiction quarterly magazine fronted by Fredericck S. Clarke. The magazine was famous for its color film stills, “near- scholarly” writing, and detailed “making-of” issues (Source: Cinefantastique Online). In 2007, the magazine transitioned into web-only content in the form of Cinefantastique Online, which still features occasional posts.
Empire for the SF Writer was a science fiction quarterly magazine meant to “assist, inform, and entertain the science fiction writer” (Source: Empire for the SF Writer). Features included articles, columns, interviews, workshops, and tips relating to writing and distributing science fiction literature.
Fandom Directory is a networking resource for fans, authors, and organizations in all fan-related genres. The directory includes contact information for publications, artists, advertisers, conventions, fan clubs, and retail stores, as well as art from contributing artists. Physical copies of the publication ceased in 2001, but still continue online today.
The Fantastic Adventures Quarterly Reissues were a series of issues of the fantasy and science fiction pulp magazine Fantastic Adventures reissued between 1941 and 1943. Unsold issues of the magazine were rebound, retitled, and given a new cover. Copies in our collection have story counts ranging from 18 to 35 per issue.
The Multicultural Sci-Fi Organization is an Atlanta-based collective that educates the public on international science fiction and holds the Annual Atlanta Sci-Fi Film Festival. This collection contains materials from 2015-2017.
OnyxCon is a local Atlanta convention and festival featuring a wide variety of Black science fiction-related media. This collection contains materials from 2005 to 2019, the convention's 10th anniversary.
This collection contains the official programs for a wide range of science fiction conventions, particularly featuring those in the southern United States. Programs for Dragon*Con and Worldcon are included; other associated publications included are programs, pocket programs, and progress reports for various large- and small-scale conventions.
