Series 5 is made up of a group of scrapbooks that the Georgia Tech Faculty Women's Club created to chronicle the Club's activities throughout each academic year. The collection includes a full run of these scrapbooks from 1933 to 1997. Items such as photographs, programs, yearbooks, invitations, newspaper clippings, and correspondence are included in the scrapbooks. Notes identifying people in the photographs and other annotations provide valuable additional information. This series also includes a "Friendship" scrapbook, which documents the cards, notes and expressions of sympathy sent by the GTFWC to members of the Club or the Georgia Tech community in general who had experienced an illness or death in their families. The "Friendship" scrapbook also documents the Club's practice of donating books to the Georgia Tech Library in memory of members of the community who had died.
Some of the scrapbooks in this collection are fragile and must be handled with care.
