Abstract Founded in Atlanta during the late 1860s, the Fulton Bag and Cotton Mills operated under the management of Jacob Elsas and his descendants for more than a century. The architectural drawings document the design and construction of most of the major buildings of the Atlanta site of Fulton Bag and Cotton Mills, as well as its machinery and equipment. Overview

The bulk of this collection comprises the paper records of the Office of Jack Pyburn, Architect, Inc., from its inception in 1984 through 2007. The office specialized in historic preservation projects, but includes new projects as well, notably the Rowing, Canoe and Kayaking Venue at Lake Lanier designed by the frim for the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.
